Expression of Interest

We welcome expressions of interest from prospective Ph.D. and M.Phil. students, as well as students seeking thesis or research project supervision.

Tell us a little about your background, your research interests, and the kinds of questions you’d like to explore.

What you are applying for
Degree

Ph.D. and M.Phil. places are at the Australian Artificial Intelligence Institute, University of Technology Sydney, from the 2028 Session 1 (28S1) intake onwards. Thesis and research projects run all year.

Time you could commit

Mostly relevant for a thesis or research project. Ph.D. and M.Phil. places are full-time.

What interests you

Pick as many as fit, or none. It does not narrow anything down.

A sentence or two, at least 20 characters.

Documents
CV

One file.

    Transcript

Official or unofficial, all years. A scan or photo is fine as it is, no need to compress anything.

      Anything else

      A paper, a thesis, a portfolio. Optional.

PDF, Word, images or a zip. Up to 20 MB per file.

If you would rather share a Drive or Dropbox folder, put it here instead. Please check it is readable by anyone with the link, otherwise we will just see a request-access screen.

GitHub, GitLab, Hugging Face, a personal site. Optional, and a small repository you can explain beats a large one you cannot.

What you write here is emailed to the lab and nowhere else. Your documents are held in private storage so we can open them from that email, and are deleted after twelve months. Nothing on this page is tracked or analysed.
